Brain Storm is my venture into a musical representation of the inner workings of my own mind. The piece is permeated with a constant ticking to represent the perpetual flow of thoughts, as they layer up into more complex textures. These simultaneous thoughts carry through with them a range of emotions, peace and conflict, wonder and caution, until they give way to a single idea which dominates from that point onwards. This is quite a personal piece for me, I hope that in listening to it, you might hear something of myself in there.
